When you save a book, it saves a DML file. This is not the final book, this just contains all the text that will go into the book. When you package the book, this is when the final DNL file is created. i.e. during a package process, the program uses the text in the DML file and images to create the DNL file.
Please note that you cannot edit a DNL file, you need to keep the original DML file and images if you want to change the book in future. |
