DNL eBooks created by Desktop Author will work on Mac OSX 10.4 or later for Intel processors.
The Mac DNL reader requires X11 and Wine to be installed. These additional applications are downloaded and installed automatically by the Mac DNL reader installer (if they are not already installed). If you have OSX 10.5, X11 is already installed. Please note: if your eBook contains multi-media then additional plugins, e.g. flash and windows media player, may be required to be installed or they will not play back correctly.
If you have an older DNL eBook, you must re-package your it with Desktop Author 6.5 or later for Mac compatibility.
Mac users can download the Mac OSX and Windows versions of the DNL reader from http://www.dnlreader.com/reader
Desktop Author is a Windows only application. We have been told by some customers that it will work inside Virtual PC for MAC and Parallels.Please note, if you have an Intel based-Mac, you can use Apple's Bootcamp to run Windows as well as Mac OSX on the same PC.
